Artworks by Germaine

I've always loved color and been drawn to images of vibrancy that hold your eye.  I am happiest when I sit down with a blank cardstock or canvas and begin to paint not knowing exactly what it will look like but hoping it will capture my imagination and yours.

I use mainly acrylic paint and tempera paint sticks along with some watercolor in my designs. In the very beginning, I painted many heart card designs because they are always special gifts and keepsakes. More recently I have more cards catching both the beauty and whimsy of flowers.  However, I will always dabble with painting hearts. 

Everyday life sparks inspriation so I paint abstracts, as well as, everyday fun objects  from a piano to a puppy dog.  I also get ideas from looking at the works of others and am grateful for those images to begin painting.  However, each finished  painting ends up with its own unique twist.
